Now it goes without saying I love a good shoe. And of course I love dogs. Put them together and you’ve got a total love fest on your hands. So when Julie from the scrumptiously named Missy Moo Studio sent me this inspired series ‘For the Love of Shoes & Dogs’ I couldn’t upload the images fast enough! Our dogs and our shoes say so much about us, it really is a (fashionable) glimpse into our souls through the camera. Plus it’s TOTAL eye candy. Time to scoop yourself up some of the pretty goodness! Take it away Julie…
From Julie:
I have a major obsession with 2 things: shoes and photography. I literally just assigned a closet in my house strictly for my shoes (I aspire to have as many as Kimora Lee Simmons someday). One day it just clicked: I will start doing a series of photos with owners and their shoes!
For my very first in the series, I recruited my friend Keri Meraz. She loves shopping, shoes, and dogs as much as I do, so I knew she was perfect. She has four fur babies!
Sugar is her youngest. She is a 3 year old silky terrier. Super spoiled (the only one of four dogs allowed on the couch and to sleep in the bed). She loooves to play fetch with her bestie/sister Vita (a beautiful pit bull mix).
Sugar is one of those photography subjects that really makes you work for it! Every dog has their own motivation (treats, key words, or funny sounds).
It took me about 10 minutes to figure out Sugar’s. You had to ask her, “Sugar wants dinner?” Nothing perked up her ears quite like hearing those words!
