Like any self respecting crazy dog lady, I immediately fell in love with this photography series by Chantal Levesque Photo.

And then when I read what it took to get these gorgeous shots, I knew this heart melting session was always meant to be…

This photo session almost wasn’t. Rosie’s owner, Carolyn, contacted me to take photos of her beautiful 12 week old Goldendoodle in the snow.

As this was January, in Montreal, it was not supposed to be a problem.

But the day before the scheduled shoot, the park we had chosen was very muddy with hardly any snow on the ground. This unusually warm winter had left us with barely no snow and the wet ground was not at all ideal for a first photo shoot with a white puppy!

We got lucky though… Mother Nature was on our side and it snowed the night before. Lucky for us, we had chosen a weekday and had the park all to ourselves. And the little amount of snow that was there was still fresh and untouched.

It was fate – as the day after the shoot, all the snow had melted again.

Rosie is a gorgeous playful tail wagging Golden Doodle. I was surprised to see how tall she is at her young age and she was very well behaved. I love how her owner and her colour coordinated in pink for their photo session.
