When you go to the facebook page of Westway Studio the cover photo shows a perfect pup’s snout and the caption ‘I Capture Hearts & Souls (And Tongues)’. This gorgeous session couldn’t have more heart and soul if it tried. With so many dogs experiencing a rough start in life, nothing makes me happier to see a pooch find their person and live the full life they were meant to have. Meet Toby…

Meet Toby, the little fluff-ball of energy! Toby is a happy little pup who loves his mom more than anything else in the world.

Toby’s story starts when he was separated from his birth-mom at only a few weeks old. He was taken in by a kind family who cared for him until he was about two. When they realized they couldn’t keep up with his level of energy, they decided to find him a new home. Luckily, Toby found his perfect match when he was adopted by his forever-mom.

Toby and his mom love to go hiking, running, and even kayaking together. They have a favorite trail that they hike every week, which is where we held their session. The day was beautiful and Toby was ready to go, go, go! He was pretty confused that we kept stopping to take his picture. He had fun being a model, though, once he realized it meant he got all the attention.

This little guy is so happy and loved. I love meeting and photographing dogs who have such a strong bond with their families… and I especially love when those dogs are rescues!
