Spottybox is a new service in Australia that hand picks a unique selection of natural treats and premium quality toys to keep your dog happy and healthy.

I recently trialled Spottybox’s MEDIUM box for two months – or should I say Soda did! Here’s what we discovered…


Each box came delivered to our doorstep and includes a flyer listing the items inside each Spottybox.

The impressive thing to note about Spottybox’s inclusions is their vendors are all of an extremely high calibre.

From larger ranges (such as Kong) to smaller, local businesses (such as FoodiePooch) all brands are known for their quality, so you can rest assured you’re getting durable, safe toys and healthy treats.

In fact all the edible treats and bones in each Spottybox are sourced from local manufacturers, with a focus on natural and organic products to ensure your dog gets the very best.


I conducted a little experiment on my boxes, seeing how much their inclusions would take for me to buy separately. Each box was filled with well over $50 worth of products, not including what they’d cost to ship if you ordered them separately.

So for the $29/month charge by Spottybox (who includes FREE shipping) I’d say your getting a great bang for your buck.

The fact that Spottybox focuses on toys and treats as also a big plus in my book. A new toy monthly, with a small range of natural treats are all products that would get used in our household without overindulging Soda.

Plus if you come across a toy range or treat in your Spottybox that your dog absolutely loves, the flyer insert gives you all the details about the brand and where to get more.

    I have also gotten the spotty box delivered. I got julys box and was really happy with it but I can’t say the same about septembers we got a small fuzzyard plush bone, small biggie bone and 2 packets of small treats. Nowhere near a $40 value. This was a medium box. Emailed the spottybox team and voiced my displeasure and all they have assured me is that the coming months will be better

    Beware, there is no way of contacting this business and they do not respond to emails that have been sent. I have received invoices that i did not authorize, this was supposed to be a one off gift that I purchased through LivingSocial however they have started a subscription that i did not want. There are other people having the same problem with this business who are also frustrated that they cannot contact the owner at all. Very Disappointing!!!!

      Hi Steven,
      I stated on living social as a one off and the same thing happened to me, where I found myself being charged by not approving it. I emailed Tanveer and he refunded the money immediately. In fact, the service was great. I actually signed up for the $29 a month for 6 months (I was being charged $40). I have contacted him numerous times over the last 6 months and have found that he replied very quickly (almost always within 24 hours) and goes out of their way to sort out any issues.

      Some months of spotty box are definitively better than other though. I have had a few disappointing ones, but on the whole my dog loves it.

    I purchased a coupon for this company through SCOOPONS in November and placed my order the same day, after several emails and messaged posted on their facebook page I still have not received my order. I have been reassured several times over the past couple of months that my order was being processed I still have not received it. They have offered to send me a free months worth but whats the point if I haven’t even received my original order yet. My original order was for 1 small, 1 medium and 1 large box so im not just complaining about one single box its 3. I would really like someone to find out what is going on with my order and no more apologies’

      I am so sorry for your frustration. I completely understand and we are certainly not in anyway ignoring you nor have we overlooked your order. We received your order just after our cut off date in December, so it fell into our January delivery, so their was a little bit of a wait with that. I apologise if this was not communicated better and we will look to do so moving forward. Unfortunately we did have a couple of delays this month but as per my previous email your goodies did hit the road last week, and as you are in WA, it happens to be the longest trip for our parcels. We have just sent you an email and will be sure to follow up with you again to ensure they arrive safely. 🙂

    I ordered three boxes, 1 small, 1 medium & 1 large, back in November for Christmas and as yet have not received them. I have sent several emails to the company and they keep apologising for the delay, with all sorts or excuses. I have been told several times that my order was being processed and would be shipped, but guess what, they still have not arrived. They offered to send out a bonus months worth to make up for the delay but as I still have not received the original order I want hold my breath for the bonus ones. would someone sort this out and stop messing me about, I don’t want another apology from your company , I want my order.

    A few months ago I left positive feedback about spottybox but now I can’t say the same. Over the last few months the service has been getting progressively worse, but now I am just downright annoyed. My march spotty box hasn’t turned up, and after a email from the founder sent on 19th march promising improvement & orders to be shipped in the next ‘day or two’ it’s now 4th April and I still have no order!! I sent an email to him several days ago (5 days)& have had no reply. What kind of customer service is this?!?! For a small company I would expect better service as you would want to keep the clients who support you. There is also no phone number to contact anyone which is crap considering they don’t seem to want to reply to emails!

    When the products actually manage to turn up, it really is quit good. My dog loves the treats and toys. It’s such a shame they just can’t seem to get organised. 🙁

    To all those using SpottyBox. I am a manufacturer and supplier of Pet Treats to this company.

    They do not pay their bills. They owe us from early this year and refuse to answer our phone calls as well.

    Tanveer Ball, the owner, refuses to pay his invoices. He has clearly sent them to his customers whom have all clearly paid him upfront. Yet he feels it is ok not to pay his suppliers.

    This is a business which has questionable ethics.

    As a business whom employs people and manufacturers product here in Australia from Australian produce, it is such a disappointment to see there are those like this company, whom feel it is ok to not pay the invoices with which they are legally obligated to do.

      After much effort Tanveer has settled all debts with our company in entirety.

      He honored the invoice which was originally raised. As such our business has no further issues with Tanveer or Spotty Box.

    I too purchased a voucher from Scoopon and place my order within the same week. I tried to contact the company numerous times, and received no response whatsover. After reading these reviews I am puzzled that Scoopon would allow such a unprofessional business to offer their products on their site. Russell Gibbons, I hope your invoices get paid and Tanveer Bal l I hope you get your business back in line because this is truely not acceptable and unprofessional.

    I’ve tried several times to contact Spotty Box / Tavneer Bal. They have advised that they have shut down on website etc, but have NEVER received our order after being assured we would receive it earlier this year. Now, we have paid and have never received anything. To me, this is blatantly stealing and as a business owner, find it difficult to understand how someone can be so ethically immoral. I only ordered one box, so it’s not breaking the bank – however it’s just the principal. Now I see that I’m not the only one!

    I agree that Spottybox is ethically immoral. Tanveer has taken money out of my account unauthorised and I have not received anything. It seems he has done it to quite a lot of people and it’s wrong he is taking innocent people’s money to receive nothing. I gave him 3 weeks to email me back and he still hasn’t so I have reported a dispute with my bank account and still waiting to hear back from that. If I were you, cancel your credit card and get a new one because he will continue to take money out and won’t stop. I can’t believe I recommended his business to co-workers when his business was dodgy all along. I have emailed his Spottybox FB page, his personal FB page, an email he used to register the Spottybox website and even the spottybox email. I’ve had zero response from any of them. I just hope we can all get our money back since he doesn’t have the decency to refund our money. So much for him having a kind heart.

    Tanveer Bal ripped off so many people. I worry that he will open other businesses and repeat this offense. I found his mobile number if anyone wants to speak to him. If it still works. 0411279115. HE IS A THIEF.
