DIY Fruity Frozen Dog Treats

These fruity frozen dog treats are the perfect way to cool your pup down, especially after being in the hot summer sun.

Not only are they super healthy, these little icy treats are mega delicious, and something the whole family can share – or at least try to share! I caught my husband sneaking into the freezer about 5 different times before I even had a chance to photograph them. Between him and Coco, I am surprised there were any left to photograph at all. They are THAT good.

No need for store bought doggy ice cream, these little babies take little effort to make (especially the peanut butter ones – those are our favorite!) and they are only have a couple ingredients. No chemicals, no artificial flavors! Plus they are bite size, meaning zero mess when eating them.

Don’t be surprised if you find your dog loitering around your freezer afterwards… or your husband too for that matter.

Banana Berry

Ingredients:

1 Organic Banana

12 Frozen Organic Blueberries – OR – 2 Frozen Organic Strawberries

Directions:

  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and place to the side.
  • Combine all ingredients into a blender and pulse until the bananas and berries are broken down. It doesn’t need to be completely smooth, but just enough so that there are not huge pieces (we don’t want it to be super runny).
  • Transfer the fruit mixture into an icing bag (or plastic bag with the tip cut). Gently squeeze dime sized portions of the fruit mix onto your parchment paper.
  • Place in the freezer for at least 4 hours. When completely frozen, transfer treats into an airtight freezer safe container.
