Anzac Biscuit Dog Treat Recipe

Introducing our Anzac Biscuit dog treat recipe! Today we’re putting a pooch-safe twist on an Aussie favourite.
Anzac Biscuits are a hundred year old tradition here in Australia. This easy-to-make sweet treat was sent from homes to Australian and New Zealand soldiers (ANZACS) serving in World War I.
So in celebration of Anzac Day, we decided to make dog-friendly Anzac Biscuits just for your pup.
Because why should your dog miss out on the deliciousness? Try these drool-worthy, Anzac Biscuit dog treats below – they’re SO easy to make too.

INGREDIENTS
1 1/4 Cups Wholemeal Flour
1 Cup Rolled Oats
3/4 Cups Desiccated Coconut
3 Tablespoons Golden Syrup
250g Applesauce

1. Preheat oven to 175C. Line a flat baking tray with baking paper.
2. Combine flour, oats and coconut in a bowl.
3. Mix the applesauce and golden syrup in a separate bowl, then add to the dry ingredients. Mix together until fully combined.
4. Scoop out bite sized pieces with a spoon and roll into little balls, and place on lined tray. Flatten each cookie with the back of a fork.
5. Bake cookies for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Place on baking rack to cool.

* Makes 16 Anzac Biscuits
* Golden Syrup can be interchanged with treacle.
