Christmas Cookie Recipe for Dogs: Snowflake Shortbread Dog Cookies
Ingredients:
1 and 1/4 cups rice flour
2 free range eggs
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon organic honey
Optional:
Yoghurt or carob drops for icing (if you prefer your snowflake cookies decorated!)
You’ll need:
Lined baking tray
Whisk
Mixing bowl
Snowflake cookie cutter (plenty of cute designs on Amazon!)
How to make Snowflake Shortbread Dog Christmas Cookies:
1. Preheat oven to 175C. Line a flat baking tray with baking paper.
2. Whisk eggs, vegetable oil and honey in a bowl.
3. Add the rice flour to the wet ingredients and mix well to form a dough.
4. Roll dough onto floured surface to approximately 1/4 inch thickness.
5. Using a snowflake cookie cutter, cut out the cookies and place on lined baking tray. Repeat until dough is finished.
6. Bake cookies for approximately 15 minutes or until golden. Place on baking rack to cool.
Handy hints!
* Depending on the size of your cookie cutter, these make around 15 snowflake shaped Christmas dog cookies.
* If you prefer a dog cookies recipe with icing, consider melting yoghurt drops or white carob drops to decorate.
