Today is all about those lotions and potions that leaving you scrub-a-dub fresh and smelling sweet. Here are my top 5 picks for the best Cruelty Free Body Scrubs out on the market today…

1. Say Yes to Grapefruit Exfoliating Body Wash
A newbie on the market but a goodie. The reason this baby sits atop of my list? This scrumptious smelling scrub retails for $9.99. That’s right this gem with have your skin smoother and more toned for less than $10 – with no animals harmed in the process. Affordable and amazing. 2. Lush Buffy Bar
I bought this little guy about 3 months ago and I have fallen head over heels. Lush is know for their top notch cruelty free products but this one takes the cake. Ground rice, almonds and beans exfoliate you perfectly (it’s a surprisingly heavy duty scrub) but afterwards you’re magically moisturised – seriously smooth as a baby’s bot-bot! They tell me it’s the shea butters and cocoa that does the trick. Buffy – I heart you.

For those who are after something a little gentler, Aesop’s Geranium Leaf Body Scrub is for you. The refined gel is perfectly suited for sensitive skins and the fresh scent is the perfect morning pick me up. CLICK TO BUY: Aesop Geranium Leaf Body Scrub
4. The Body Shop Coconut Body Scrub
Everyone’s coconuts for coconuts these days (what with the coconut water, coconut butter, coconut shell bikinis…OK maybe got a bit carried away there) – but The Body Shop was way ahead with their Coconut Body Scrub being a long standing fave. The Community Trade virgin coconut oil leaves you with that coconutty scent and the texture leaves your skin silky smooth. A holiday favourite of mine!

5. Ultraceuticals Ultra Clear Exfoliating Gel
Last but definitely not least, this power packed gel is a secret weapon of mine. Filled with teeny tiny beads and chemical exfoliators AHA and BHA, they work together to leave your skin velvety smooth. Slather it on a leave for 10 minutes and you get an even deeper cleanse. It’s perfect for the day before a spray tan for an important event, giving your skin a perfectly smooth and hydrated foundation. CLICK TO BUY: Ultraceuticals Ultra Clear Exfoliating Gel
What cruelty free products do you use to keep super smooth?
NOTE: Due to recent changes by a number of beauty companies selling products in China where animal testing is mandatory, Pretty Fluffy will be reviewing all previous Cruelty Free posts and updating where necessary. We will be updating our favourite lists in the coming weeks to ensure all products we recommend are internationally cruelty free. Vive la Bunnies!
I really love these cruelty free posts 🙂
I may have to snag a tube of the first one! It just looks fun to use 🙂
What a beautiful post! I feel so refreshed after looking and reading it haha!
It’s great to be able to indulge in something and feel good about it too! As a proud owner of a gorgeous sooty fawn mini lop I approve this post!!
Animal testing is mandatory? I did not hear about this so I am glad to have the information. I will have to re-evaluate the products I’ve been using.
I have always adored The Body Shop, which is probably why my budget no longer allows such luxuries. If you have any recommendations for lower cost brands that are also cruelty free, I would love to know!
Yes, it’s a bit sad but a number of long standing cruelty free products are now selling in China for which animal testing is mandatory: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/06/22/urban-decay-animal-testing-china_n_1618924.html
Steps are being made to abolish the mandatory testing, but a number of companies are choosing to not sell in the China market until it is cruelty free.
We’re working on a budget cruelty free post. One of my favourite companies of late it the top one ‘Say Yes’. They’re at Priceline and pride themselves on being cruelty free, environmentally conscious and budget friendly.
I’m so glad you are covering cruelty-free products! Animal testing is a serious thing in the industry of selling just about anything these days so it’s good to shed light on products that are vegan! This post is just in time to celebrate the victory in Europe over finally banning animal testing on cosmetic products! European Union is set to ban sale of animal tested cosmetics from March 11 this year. That includes imports of entire products as well as ingredients! If you haven’t read or heard about it, here’s the article: http://www.nydailynews.com/life-style/eu-ban-cosmetics-animal-testing-article-1.1253144

The EU are doing very well on a number of animal welfare issues aren’t they!
Thanks so much for your support – cruelty free beauty is very close to my heart. I love make-up and fashion as much as anyone but just can’t understand why animal testing still exists. It’s a hard process, as due to so many variables lots of companies try to say they’re cruelty free and they’re not. But it’s great to see more and more cruelty free brands coming into the market. xx
